Cinemax Description

The Cinemax kit for the Sony A7 series allows you to transform your full-frame mirrorless camera into a cinema camera. It is compatible with the following camera bodies:

  • Sony A7SIII
  • Sony A7IV
  • Sony A1
  • Sony A7RIV
  • Sony A7RV

It mounts onto the Smallrig cage of your camera body and allows you to power all the components of your D-Tap rig (camera, external monitor, microphone, follow focus, etc.) with a single V-mount battery. No more charging dozens of batteries before each shoot: a few V-lock batteries will do!

This kit also provides you with numerous mounting points for your various accessories, with 1/4"-20 threads and 3/8"-16 on the top and bottom plates of the Cinemax (see photos).

The Cinemax for A7 is compatible with our XLR Kit , which will allow you to use the Sony XLR-H1 handle with the Cinemax thanks to the Smallrig adapter.

Equipment needed (not included)

  • Smallrig 3667B Cage (or another model of the same dimensions)
  • V-mount battery
  • Power cables compatible with D-Tap connectors are required for your accessories (e.g., Alvin's cables) . or Kondor Blue )

The package contains:

  • The Cinemax kit assembled
  • The 3 screws needed to install it on your camera
  • An H4 Allen key
